OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
1. Discuss through oral presentations the identification, prevention, and management of common abdominal, hip & pelvis injury in athletes.
2. Review signs, symptoms, incidence, risks, and precautions relative to common abdominal, hip & pelvis injury in athletes.
3. Discuss current trends in sports medicine with respect to common abdominal, hip & pelvis injury in athletes.

The University of Oklahoma Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is recognized by the Board of Certification, Inc., to offer continuing education for Certified Athletic Trainers. The schedule offers 4.25 hours of continuing education, only those hours actually attended are to be claimed.

Physicians may self-claim one (1) AMA PRA Category 2 Credit™ for each 60-minute hour engaged in the learning activity and claim credit in 15 minute, or .25 credit increments and round to the nearest quarter hour.

The Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure & Supervision, Physical Therapy Advisory Committee, approval is pending for 3.5 Category A hours for physical therapists.
