Join us for the Annual Run for Education 5K Run/Walk, Fun Walk and Timed Mile Run at the 2017 Silver Mile Health & Fitness Fair at Penn High School in Mishawaka, IN. All events start and finish on the Penn HS track with finisher medals to all student-age participants.
Run for Education EVENT DESCRIPTION
5K run/walk 9am starts and finishes on the TCU Freed Field high school track with a course that winds through the neighborhood behind the school. The 5K awards ceremony will begin at 10am with prizes/awards for 10 children's age groups and 10 adult age groups. Overall male/female adult/child trophies exclusively crafted by Penn High School ceramics.
Fun Walk 9:05am is an upbeat and entertaining mile-long walk within the Penn High School campus. This event also starts and finished on the TCU Freed Field high school track. The Fun Walk is not a timed event -- stollers and strolling welcome!
Timed Mile Run 10:45am Last year participants enjoyed the opportunity to get their mile time on Penn's track. Heats for children and adults begin at 10:45am with prizes/awards to overall male/female. Finisher medals for all participants will provide a spot for noting your mile time (so you can train to beat it next year!). Heat times will be posted at race registration/packet pickup.

The annual Run for Education is is a high-energy, family friendly event. After your run, walk or stroll, enjoy Saint Joseph's Health System Health Fair, Summer Family Fitness Expo with interactive vendors, and our Silver Mile Silent Auction, with more than 150 items including 2017-18 Parking Space passes for Penn HS students!
The Silver Mile also features Penn Robotics and a mini camp, Penn Art Gallery tours, Lego League deomonstration and select talent from our P-H-M students groups.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Parking will be available in front of Penn High School and Schmucker Middle School. Parking and traffic will be restricted at the rear of Penn until the events are complete.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
It's always a good idea to bring your confirmation of registration to any event/race!
What's the refund policy?
Refunds cannot be made once registration is accepted. No refunds are made due to cancellation of the event for whatever reasons as determined by the race management company the P-H-M Education Foundation.
