Event Details

As 2017 winds down and we prepare for the holiday season, we reflect on the many changes in our lives and community. This year the extended hospital community has been celebrating the 125th anniversary of Chester County Hospital. Chartered in 1892, the non-profit community hospital is dedicated to the health and well-being of the people of Chester County and surrounding communities. While the location and size have changed over the years, the original traditions of quality, compassionate care have remained constant. Always striving to maximize the range of services available to patients and their families, the hospital added the services of Neighborhood Hospice to their Neighborhood Health Division almost 30 years ago. Whether In-Patient or In-Home Services, Neighborhood Hospice continues the traditions of providing quality, compassionate care regardless of a patient’s ability to pay. A growing community means an increased demand for hospice services and federal funding has not kept pace with the demand. We need your help.

Please join the women of Chester County Hospital’s West Chester Evening Auxiliary in our fundraising efforts by supporting our 2017 “Remembering Our Angels” appeal. For a contribution of $35.00, a beautiful, die-cut, cardstock angel ornament will be personalized with the name of one special person you would like to remember. Additional ornaments may be purchased at the same rate. Our 2017 ornament is based on artwork generously donated by Delaware Valley Artist, Annette Alessi.

All proceeds from this appeal will support Neighborhood Hospice. Your generous donation will help provide the necessary financial resources so important to the healthcare professionals at Neighborhood Hospice as they continue to provide physical, psychological, social and spiritual services to all Hospice patients and their families. Your continued generosity is greatly appreciated.

During this season of giving, you are cordially invited to join us for our Angel Tree memorial service and tree lighting where attendees will be invited to hang their personalized ornaments on the Angel Tree. Meet artist Annette Alessi and enjoy some light refreshments. This service will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2017 (snow date is Sunday, December 10, 2017), at 3:00 P.M., at the Church of the Loving Shepherd, 1066 South New Street, West Chester, PA 19382. If you plan on attending, please RSVP on the attached response slip by November 29, 2017. Following the service all personalized ornaments will be displayed on the trees in the Family Lounge at Neighborhood Hospice for everyone to enjoy during the holiday season. If you have questions or require further information, please call me at 610-430-1698.

Thank you again for your generosity and best wishes to you and your family as you remember the angels in your life.

—Ginger Gray, West Chester Evening Auxiliary
