Join us for cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and networking as we celebrate a great year!

You'll have the chance to meet well known local professionals who understand the impact of leveraging public relations and storytelling and we will celebrate the ascension of our very own Tony D’Angelo as he transitions to his role as the National Chair of PRSA!

Julie Taboulie will have copies of her cookbook Julie Taboulie's Lebanese Kitchen for sale. Don Cazentre will also have copies of his newly released Spirits and Cocktails of Upstate New York: A History for sale.


Hors d'oeuvres will be served and there will be a cash bar.

About the speakers:




Evelyn Carter is the Director of Community Relations at Wegmans Food Markets. She previously served as Division Consumer Affairs Manager for 10 Syracuse-area Wegmans Food Market stores. Her responsibilities include media relations, community investments, and consumer affairs in Syracuse. She graduated from Le Moyne College with a Masters in Business Administration and received a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse’s University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.




Don Cazentre is the wine, beer and spirits writer for NYup.com (and syracuse.com / The Post-Standard). I am the author of “Spirits & Cocktails of Upstate New York (The History Press; 2017) and the co-author of “New York Breweries, 2nd ed. (Stackpole; 2014). I have been a journalist for 34 years, and have been writing about the alcohol beverage industry since 1995. I live in Syracuse.




Laura Serway and Cindy Seymour started their first "Laci's" venture in the regional market commons called Laci's Coffee Cafe. It is still going strong under a new name "Bohemian Beans Cafe." They moved from there to Laci's at the Palace Theatre, then onto Laci's Burger Joint on James St. to Laci's Tapas Bar. Laura and Cindy are very active in the philanthropic community.



Jason Smorol is the general manager of the Syracuse Chiefs. He previously served as the general manager of the Auburn Doubledays.
