Event description

Description

This seminar offers practical tips and pearls for all levels of dermatoscopists. For beginners, it offers critical foundational knowledge and skills to become proficient. For those who already perform dermatoscopy, it offers didactic and interactive sessions that will enhance and refine knowledge and recognition of relevant dermatoscopic structures.

Dermatoscopy is rapidly gaining use
among clinicians for the diagnosis and management of melanomas and pigmented lesions and more recently, non-melanoma skin cancer and a variety of other non-pigmented lesions. In this workshop, the utility of this popular bedside technique is explored in depth with an emphasis on entities for which it provides diagnostic advantage in everyday clinical practice. A more practical and intuitive approach to dermatoscopy is introduced, cutting through the confusing terminology and unnecessary steps that distract from mastering the fundamental knowledge and skills required to perform dermatoscopy. Through highly instructive cases, pigmented and non-pigmented skin lesions are analyzed in detail via clinical-dermatoscopic-pathologic correlation, highlighting the relevant dermatoscopic structures.

*Breakfast and midday refreshments are provided. Breakfast will be served at 8:00AM, the course begins at 8:30AM.
