Description
Join OTA as we share, discuss and dissect results from 2017 Online Trust Audit of the top 1,000 consumer facing websites in both the public and private sectors including ecommerce, banking, government, news/media and consumer services. This year’s audit has been expanded to include ISPs and carriers, comparing their security and privacy practices with other segments.
Now in our 9th year, the audit examines the security, consumer protection and privacy practices as part of a weighted composite analysis including over 100 data attributes. Organizations that demonstrate excellence in security and responsible privacy practices will be recognized and named to the annual Online Trust Honor Roll. In addition the 2017 Online Trust Congressional Awards will be presented to member(s) of Congress for the contribution to help spur innovation and online trust.
Attend to learn who made the grade! Hosted by the Online Trust Alliance and the Internet Society and co-hosted by the Congressional Cybersecurity Caucus.
Best practices will be reviewed including emerging technologies and standards to help protect consumers and their data. Speakers include:
-
Craig Spiezle, Founder & CEO, Online Trust Alliance / Strategic Advisor Internet Society
-
Scott Behm, Interim Chief Information Officer, Symantec Consumer Business Unit
-
Madelon Smith, CIPP/US, Trust Audit Researcher & Privacy Consultant
