Training Topic: The Neurobiology of Trauma and Trauma-Informed Care

Presenter: Sarah Prout Rennie, J.D., Executive Director of the Michigan Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence (MCEDSV).

This year’s training is two-fold. The first part will focus on the science behind how trauma affects the brain and impacts memory. The second part of the training will explore the tenets of trauma-informed care and offer strategies for using a trauma-informed approach in your work.

This training is applicable to law enforcement, medical providers, prosecutors, social workers, advocates, and court personnel.
