March 27-31- HC113: Preparing Housing Counselors for the HUD Certification Exam
By registering into this HUD-funded training, you are required to complete all course hours. Attendees will have access to the annual conference, however, will be prohibited from participating in Hill Day activities. This 5-day training will provide housing counseling practitioners with test-taking tools and strategies in preparation for the HUD competency certification examination. This training has been updated to reflect the recent modifications republished in July 2016 regarding updated mortgage regulations and lender disclosure requirements, including information about the Ability to Repay/Qualified Mortgage rule and the TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure (TRID) rule. March 27-31- HC114: Financial Fitness
By registering into this HUD-funded training, you are required to complete all course hours. Attendees will have access to the annual conference, however, will be prohibited from participating in Hill Day activities. This 5-day training is designed to help housing counselors work with their clients to better assist them managing their financial resources, track their daily spending habits, and identify tools that will help them become better money managers. Additionally, this training will review the basics of understanding money, banking, and financial institutions, as well as the importance of keeping your financial house in order and understanding your credit report. The training will also explore the key elements of evaluating a financial education program in relation to financial educators. NCRC’s Annual Conference is one of the nation’s largest gatherings of community nonprofits, policymakers, government officials, small businesses, banks, and academia, all coming together to create a just economy.

 

The conference will feature:
