2017 Nauvoo Women's Retreat
We live in a time where our world is ever changing, and as such it is more vital that we try in every way to remain close to our Savior, Jesus Christ. As women we should continually attempt to seek all possibilities that will enrich testimonies, strengthen one another, and lift us from all burdens. Nauvoo, Illinois has always been a place of healing and renewal. The Nauvoo Women’s Retreat is an annual event that takes place in Nauvoo during the month of March to celebrate the anniversary of the organization of the Relief Society. Those attending will be able to enjoy inspiring talks, tremendous musical performances, and a Re-enactment of the organization of the Relief Society. There will also be free time to see some of the historical sites and attend the beautiful Nauvoo Temple, and a chance to do service projects.
The Relief Society Organization re-enactment will be held the upper room of the Red Brick Store, a restored version of the store operated by Joseph Smith where Emma Smith was called to be the first President of the Relief Society. For the past ten years women have come to the Nauvoo Women’s Retreat to be spiritually fed and uplifted. Every year it has been the vehicle in which friendships and testimonies have been strengthened and renewed.
