Leadership Memphis will be hosting its 2017 Leadership Awards Luncheon, presented by Sedgwick and Regional One Health, on March 1st at the Hilton Ridgeway Hotel. Each year we honor three community leaders who exemplify the true meaning of collective impact through our Kate Gooch Leader of the Year, Distinguished Alumni of the Year and Community Champion of the Year awards.
This year’s award recipients are:
- Kate Gooch Leader of the Year Award - Reggie Crenshaw, Principal of Crenshaw and Associates
- Distinguished Alumnus of the Year Award - Jeff Rower, VP/Senior Account Supervisor of GTB
- Community Champion Award -The Mid-South Food Bank
Leadership Memphis will also recognize eight SUCCESS High School students who exemplify outstanding leadership and community service attributes.
The Luncheon speaker will be Benjamin S. Kennedy, Managing Director, American Cities Practice - Co-Managing Director, Detroit of the Kresge Foundation, as our guest speaker. His presentation All Together Now: Reflections on Collaborative Community Change and Why We Can and We Will and You Will, Too will discuss his experiences in Detroit, Michigan over the past decade and the challenges facing the city in the years to come. Mr. Kennedy will touch on powerful themes related to cooperation, inclusivity, race and leadership. Leadership Memphis is very excited to have Mr. Kennedy as the speaker this year!
