Event description

Description

The 2017 James J. Hill Days parade, presented by Wells Fargo, is Sunday, September 10 at 2:00 p.m. and we want YOU to be a part of it. This parade is more than big floats and marching bands... It's a reflection of the Wayzata area community. The parade is a great promotional opportunity for Chamber businesses, local charities, civic groups, etc. Participants in the parade will be seen by thousands of parade-goers. All you need is a little creativity and some creative minds!

This year's parade will be limited to 75 floats, and is organized on a first come-first serve basis. The deadline to register is August 15, 2017 however, if 75 units register before that date, the registration will close early. Priority of unit order will be given to Greater Wayzata Area Chamber of Commerce members and sponsors. If interested in membership, please contact Kathy Peterson, Director of Membership Services via e-mail: kpeterson@wayzatachamber.com.

Interested in sponsoring a parade unit? This has become a popular way for businesses to become involved in the parade. It works out nicely because many parade groups (such as horse groups, marching bands, etc.) charge a fee for parade appearances. As a sponsor, you would cover the cost of a group. In turn, that group would carry your company's banner or hand out materials.

Parade check-in will be on Sunday, September 10th at 12:30 p.m. at the lower lot of Wells Fargo Bank. Check-in closes promtly at 1:30 p.m. The parade begins at 2 p.m. sharp. Details of the line-up will be mailed to you the beginning of September.

Please review the James J. Hill Days Parade Rules & Regulations before registering.
