The MG Car Club Washington D.C. Centre would like to invite you to our 22nd Annual Hunt Country Classic British Vehicle Show.
Nestled midway between historic Marshall, and lovely Middleburg, deep in the rolling hills of Virginia’s Hunt Country, lies Willoughby Farm, home of our hostess, Barbara Scott.
In October the vista is an artist’s palette of breath-taking color. This is the setting for the Hunt
The day starts at 9:00 a.m., and there is always something going on right up to the awards ceremony at 2:00 p.m. Here’s the schedule of major events:
9:00 a.m. Show-Field & Registration Open
Noon Registration Closes
12:30 p.m. Balloting Closes
2:00 p.m. Awards Ceremony and Closing
This is a show for pleasure and the company of others who share your interest in British vehicles. In this vein, judging is by popular vote of your peers. Each entrant receives one ballot, and may cast one vote per class.
Based on early registration results, classes are created for each major marque, and certain subdivisions within marques. Where there are insufficient early entries to justify a separate class, entries will be grouped by type of car (other sedans, sports cars, etc.).
Drive-up registration is open from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. No vehicles may register after that time. Balloting closes at 12:30 p.m. sharp. Ballots received after that time will not be included in the scoring .
No “For Sale/Rent” signs may be displayed on the show field.
Leashed dogs are welcome and are invited to take advantage of our doggie-buffet.
The Middleburg Humane Foundation will be hosting our Silet Auction, as well as an adoption booth at this year's show. They are a non-profit farm shelter for large and small animals located in Marshall, Virginia. Their facility is able to house up to 30 cats, 15 dogs, and up to 6 equines or livestock. Proceeds from the Silent Auction will support the rehabilitation of abused and neglected animals.
In addition to the scores of beautiful and rare British vehicles, at the Hunt Country Classic there is entertainment for the entire family.
Try your hand at apple cider pressing with the kids, take a hayride on a wagon drawn by an antique tractor to round out the day, and enjoy the sounds of traditional bagpipes! Combine all this with a delicious lunch, and you have the Hunt Country Classic experience… one without equal.
Light breakfast fare and delicious lunch selections will be available for purchase. The Carrousel Ice Cream Truck will also be on hand for tasty treats and brain freezes.
All food sales will be on a cash-only basis.
Spectators are welcome and encouraged to attend. Parking is available for $5.00 per vehicle.
Throughout the day, vendors will be on hand with a wide variety of wares and services, from accessories and collectables to maintenance and restoration.
