The Madison Area Municipal Storm Water Partnership (MAMSWaP), Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD), and Madison Water Utility are hosting a training for managers of municipal and private salt applicators. The training will include: best management practices to keep paved areas safe, benefits of transitioning to liquids, tips on how to get buy-in from the public and municipal leaders, guidance on how to determine the right amount of salt to use and case studies from local applicators.

***This training meets the requirements for the NEW Voluntary Winter Maintenance Certification (affirmed by the City of Madison and Dane County for participation)***

• Each manager registration includes 2 free registrations for the Oct 25th (AM) Effective Winter Maintenance workshop geared at field staff implementing snow/ice removal practices. Lunch, training, and materials are also provided.
