Event description

Description

The 2017 Georgia Dementia Summit will convene multidisciplinary stakeholders in medicine, research, social services, and policy around the care and support for Georgians living with dementia and their care partners. The work of the Georgia Alzheimer’s Disease & Related Dementias (GARD) State Plan Advisory group will be highlighted at the summit as we invite continued collaboration on shared goals and vision for a more dementia capable Georgia. The aim of this summit is to bring different sectors together to work toward a collective action plan and encourage commitment to a shared vision. This event is cosponsored by the GA Department of Human Services and the Georgia Gerontology Society.

In 2014, legislation was passed to create the Georgia Alzheimer’s Disease & Related Dementias (GARD) State Plan and an advisory council. Since then, committed professionals and consumers have been working toward the implementation of that state plan through work groups.

As part of this exciting event, we will offer limited exhibitor spaces on a first come, first served basis at a rate of $200.
