2017 DC Black History Film Festival
Event Sponsors: DC Mayor's Offices of African Affairs, African American Affairs, Latino Affairs, Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs, DC Commission on Arts and Humanities, Office on Cable Television, Film, Music, and Entertainment, Urban Film Review, and DC native Actor Lamman Rucker.
This family-friendly film festival will share narratives from the African Diaspora and beyond. DC students who participated in the Essay and Film competitions will be announced and awarded cash prizes by local dignitaries. Short films will also be shown from local college students. The event is free and open to all. There will be concessions provided at a cost.
