4th Annual CultureMAX Awards
when we gather to celebrate the honorees for their work as
artists, arts educators, heritage professionals, volunteers,
cultural institutions, and culture-loving businesses.


The 2017 CultureMAX Awardees are:

Susan Becker Aziz - artist
Adam Atkins
- arts educator

Mark McEachern - history professional
Ellen Paul - volunteer
TheatreWorks New Milford - cultural organization
Torrington Savings Bank - culture-loving business
Tim Prentice - life-time achievement award

Staring off the award presentations, we will hear from
Michael Price, Chairman of the Arts Advisory Council on Culture and Tourism for Connecticut's Department of Economic Development, and former executive director producer of Goodspeed Opera House 

Network, Celebrate and be Inspired 
by the stories of the awardees whose positive impact in the field has 
elevated art and culture in our region.

NW CT Arts & Economic Prosperity 5 Symposium

Just prior to CultureMAX
The Symposium is at 3:45 – 5:15 pm
also at The Warner Theatre and is free to attend.

The NW CT Arts Council will unveil the results of Arts & Economic Prosperity 5, the most comprehensive economic impact study of northwest Connecticut’s nonprofit arts and culture industry ever conducted.

The NW CT Arts Council serves a 25 town region as the central source for cultural information through the online events calendar, cultural directory, and listings of opportunities and instructional offerings.

We also serve the region through CultureMIX networking events, workshops, a short-term affordable consulting program, discount tickets, fiscal sponsorship services, the REGI grant program, and several other activities.
