Description
Each year, the Community Health Center Association of Connecticut (CHCACT) hosts an event to celebrate National Health Service Corps (NHSC) clinicians within the state, and to raise awareness about the NHSC program and its impact on the underserved communities in CT.

The NHSC provides scholarship and loan repayment opportunities to primary care medical, dental, and behavioral health providers who work in NHSC-approved sites, which are all located in Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs).
In previous years, the event has been mainly focused on NHSC clinicians. This year, we are inviting previous and current NHSC clinicians as well as health professions students, residents & individuals interested in primary care for an evening of speed networking & mentoring. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with primary care clinicians and learn about NHSC and the different roles in primary care.
Individuals working toward or aspiring to be in the below NHSC- eligible disciplines are strongly encouraged to attend.
- Primary Care Physician (MD or DO)
- Health Service Psychologist (HSP)
- Dentist (DDS or DMD)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Primary Care Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Psychiatric Nurse Specialist (PNS)
