Description

2017 Constitutional Law Symposium -- President Obama's Constitutional Law Legacy

President Barack Obama’s constitutional law legacy is controversial. As a academic at the University of Chicago Law School and a civil rights lawyer at Miner, Barnhill & Galland, P.C., his legal knowledge is unquestioned. But Obama faced high opposition to many of his initiatives which caused him to invoke strong actions of executive power. Speakers include Taunya Lovell Banks, University of Maryland; Eric Berger, University of Nebraska; John Eastman, Chapman University; Ilya Somin, George Mason University; and Ambassador Stephen Rapp.
