Event description

Description

Join us this summer for Putting the Pieces Together: Developing a National Research Agenda on Integrated Care for Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders, a two-day long conference in New York City!

There is a critical need to improve research on AANHPIs that focuses on a whole health approach to care. This includes assessing the impact of mental health and other social determinants of health. This will be the beginning of a series of conferences with the intent of hosting additional conferences in San Francisco in 2018 and Hawaii in 2019 to ensure meaningful inclusion of Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders.

We invite researchers, providers, consumers, students, community members, policy makers, administrators, and anyone interested in improving health outcomes for AANHPIs to attend.

At this conference, we will:

  • Highlight successful models of integrated care for AANHPIs.

  • Identify areas for future research and policy recommendations.

  • Provide opportunities for students to engage with experienced researchers.

  • Develop a research agenda that actively engages community members and consumers.

This year, the conference will feature our keynote speaker, Dr. Vivek Murthy, United States Surgeon General.

Organizations sponsoring this conference are:

This conference is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality
