Event Details

The Clear The Air Film Fest showcases student-produced short films that address topics on air quality, environmental health and lung health in the community, with a goal of encouraging young people to use film as a medium to interpret and change the world around them.

This year, Breathe California will award $3,100 in prizes to filmmakers: $1,000 to the winning film in the High School category; $1,000 to the winning film in the Middle School category;$500 to the winning film in the General Public category; and $600 to the winners of the new "Be the First" PSA Contest.

Now in its sixth year, Clear The Air Film Fest continues to grow, and we invite your support to help us amplify youth and community voices through film and attendance.

Breathe California Golden Gate

Breathe California, Golden Gate Public Health Partnership has worked to reduce the impact of lung disease since 1908. During the last century, our name has changed but we have remained the same community based nonprofit organization dedicated to the core mission of fighting lung disease through prevention, education, services and advocacy. We work to improve air quality, to reduce the impact of asthma, to reduce tobacco use and exposure to second-hand smoke, offer services to people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) to help them better manage their illness and support research to find cures for lung diseases.
