Event description

Description

The Salvation Army’s annual City of Hope Celebration will take place on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the Knoxville Marriott. The City of Hope Celebration is The Salvation Army’s marquee event supporting its mission of providing hope to the thousands of our neighbors in need through its various programs. The event will feature dinner and first-hand accounts of how The Salvation Army has helped equip, empower and educate those who have walked through its doors.

There will also be a keynote presentation from Jim “The Rookie” Morris, a high school science teacher and baseball coach turned major league baseball pitcher. Jim Morris’ meteoric rise from 35 year-old high school teacher to flame-throwing major league pitcher in three months made cinematic history with the release of Disney’s award-winning movie, “The Rookie“ starring Dennis Quaid.

Reception begins at 6:00 p.m. followed by a seated dinner and program beginning at 7:00 p.m. Dress attire is business. Complimentary parking.

For questions about the event or sponsorships, please call (865) 971-4937.
