The CIE/USA-DFW Chapter is pleased to present the 2017 Spring Technical Symposium "8 Essentials for Early Careers" on Saturday April 8th, 2017, from 12:30 PM to 5:00PM at Ericsson Lecture Hall at The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD).  This seminar is a parallel track alongside the 2017 CIE/IEEE/UTD Spring Technical Symposium.  Admission is free but advance registration is required.  Detail information and registration can be found at

The 2017 Leadership and Career Development "8 Essentials for Early Careers” targets graduating university students and young professionals who desire career advice before and immediately after their entrance in to the workforce. 

Four industry leaders from companies around the Dallas area will come share their personal experiences and provide guidance in the areas of networking, career growth, and selecting the right career for you.  This is part one of a two part speaker series.

Check-in begins at 12:30PM.

Dress code for attendees: No sandals or short pants or flip-flops -thank you!

Please be sure to park only in the GREEN zone inside the UTD campus (violators could be ticketed). We encourage our participants to park in the PS4 parking building in which GREEN zone is located on the 5th floor.

The Chinese Institute of Engineers (CIE) was founded in 1917 in New York by a group of Chinese engineers who graduated from American universities and served in various industries in the United States. CIE’s mission is to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) awareness all over the United States. The DFW Chapter was established in January 1989 and registered in the state of Texas as a non-profit organization in 1992. Over the years, the DFW chapter has established close ties with major corporations and government bodies around the world. Leaders from these sponsoring organizations are featured in the chapter’s annual convention by sharing their experiences and insights in business and technology. For more information, visit
