Christmas Spirit Magic at Our Lady of the Lake Church

On Saturday, December 2nd  Our Lady of the Lake CIC Committee, with the aid of Our Lady of the Lake Confirmation, and our local High School’s students, will bring “Christ in Christmas” to life. This event, in the spirit of the true meaning of Christmas, brings together young children ages 5 through 10 and teens to build  Teddy Bears for the children in homeless shelters in the Sussex County area. This year the bears will be donated to the over 140 families currently resident at the homeless shelters in Sussex County. The children will place hearts into the bears they make, and give them one final hug and kiss before placing them on a table to be blessed by Father David McDonnell.  Following the blessing of the bears, the children will be thanked with a musical program given by our OLL Confirmation and  HS students that includes Christmas carols, hot chocolate, and dessert. Christ in Christmas concludes with a visit from Santa Claus. Santa will ask the children to pack his sack with the bears so that he could take them over to the homeless shelters.

God Bless Us Every One
