2017 Chairlady's Garden Party
Sat, June 17, 2017, 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM EDT
From 2 – 5 p.m on June 17, 2017, on the lawn of the historic Alumni House the Lincoln University Board of Trustees Chairwoman Kimberly A. Lloyd ’94 will host the fourth annual Chairlady’s Garden Party to benefit the University’s student scholarship program. The program will feature a Parade of Hats, Best Dressed Man competition, and great live entertainment.
Merit and need-based scholarships support students of Lincoln University who are motivated and passionate about academic excellence and leadership. Scholarship funds are supported by corporations, foundations, churches, the general public as well as alumni, faculty and staff of Lincoln University. Ninety-six percent of Lincoln’s students depend on financial assistance.
While the main purpose of the event is to raise scholarship funds for students, the event also provides an opportunity for attendees to display sartorial southern charm. Ladies are asked to wear hats, gloves and pearls and men are encouraged to wear seersucker and linen suits or cool breeze shirts and slacks.
Guests will have the opportunity to take a self-guided walking tour of the historical and significant sites on campus.
The Chairlady's Garden Party is open to the public. So, invite your friends. Lincoln University alumni, faculty, staff, administrators and friends will all be a part of the celebration!
