This program includes classroom instruction, course manual, homework exercises, exam preparation handbook, and certification exam. Participants may take up to six hours to complete the CMC exam. A passing score of 70% or better will confer with CMC certification.

What additional information do I need for the training?
CMC Course Outline
Candidates for CMC certification should have a minimum of one year of experience coding in an outpatient setting. Those with less than a year of experience should complete PMI’s PMI Basics: Principles of Coding self-paced course prior to enrollment.
Required Class Materials
Participants must bring current editions of CPT®, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM coding manuals, and a medical dictionary to class. For added support, participants may elect to purchase the pre-recorded lecture (stream online) for an additional $299, available with live class enrollment.
