FREEZIN’ FOR A REASON…it’s the Polar Plunge presented by Westerra Credit Union and we'd love to have you join us as volunteers or participants- or both! The Boulder Plunge will take place on March 4, 2017.
PLEASE CHECK IN ON TIME. ORIENTATION AND TRAINING WILL BE GIVEN PRIOR TO THE START OF THE EVENT.
We ask that volunteers be flexible with the roles they are assigned. Roles are designated and fulfilled based on immediate need.
We will provide small snacks and water for our volunteers. Please feel free to bring your own snacks and water bottles as well.
Parking is available in the main parking lot. After parking please head to the main building, where you will find volunteer check-in and event registration.
WHAT TO WEAR/BRING:
The event takes place outdoors during the winter, so make sure you dress in layers and warm clothing! Hats, gloves and water proof shoes or boots are recommended. We will give everyone a volunteer t-shirt which we recommend wearing outside your outermost layer. Please bring a photo ID to complete your volunteer waiver.
VOLUNTEER SERVICE HOURS: For those needing confirmation of service hours, at the completion of your volunteer shift you may report back to volunteer registration for signatures or confirmation forms.
AGE ELIGIBILITY FOR VOLUNTEERS:
* 16 years and older can volunteer by themselves.
* 8-15 year olds must be accompanied by parent, guardian, or chaperone.
* 7 years and younger are not given volunteer assignments, but are welcomed and encouraged to be cheerleaders as long as they are accompanied by a parent, guardian, or chaperone. Please do not 'purchase' a ticket for this position.
* 8-15 year olds in a group situation need a 3 to 1 ratio-meaning one adult (18 years old or older) for every three children. These groups usually include scout troops, school classes, church groups, etc.
We ask that volunteers be flexible with their roles they are assigned. Roles are designated and fulfilled based on immediate need. Thank you!
