2017 Bioblitz - Marsh Creek State Historic Park and Marsh Creek Reservoir

Save Mount Diablo will be hosting its annual Bioblitz event in Marsh Creek State Historic Park and on Contra Costa County Flood Control Property on Friday, March 24th and Saturday, March 25th. Through the efforts of concerned citizens and a coalition of land conservation organizations, the property constituting Marsh Creek State Historic Park was protected in the early 2000’s and is not yet open to the public. Take advantage of this unique opportunity in helping us catalogue the biodiversity in one of California’s newest state parks and Marsh Creek Reservoir!

Directions to check in: From I-680 North or downtown Walnut Creek head east on Ygnacio Valley Rd., continue on Ygnacio Valley Rd. for about 7 miles. Make a right onto Clayton Rd. and continue on Clayton Rd for 2.5 miles. Continue onto Marsh Creek Rd. for 10.5 miles - Cakebread Ranch is the first left past Deer Valley Road.
