Description

This comprehensive 2 day course will combine hands-on laboratory and lecture for the general practitioner. The seminar will cover techniques in surgical extractions with flaps on maxillary and mandibular canine teeth, maxillary fourth premolar teeth and mandibular first molar teeth in dogs. Techniques in surgical extractions with flaps for full mouth extractions in cats, as well as regional anesthesia nerve blocks and close root planing with placement of Doxirobe gel will also be taught in the lab. Lecture topics will include step-by-step's for the canine and feline extractions, regional anesthesia and pain management, the complete oral exam, hand instrumentation and Doxirobe placement, common oral pathology in the canine and feline, and intraoral radiographic interpretation.

Approved for 16 hours of continuing education credit by the TBVME.
