Share 2017 Autism Research Symposium & Poster Session

Event Details

A Scientific Event featuring Autism Research and current autism topics in Atlanta.

This event is free to AAC members interested in learning more about Autism research conducted in Atlanta.  The target audience is principally researchers and clinicians, but everyone is welcome. Registration is required.

Oral presentations will feature animal models of autism research as well as human research.  A panel discussion with researchers/clinicians and autistic individuals will focus on participation in research studies.

Poster presentation: everyone conducting research on autism-related topic is welcome to present a scientific poster. Please register first here and email your poster title, author names and sponsorship information by 5 pm, on Tuesday, September 19th, 2017, to Anne-Pierre at executive-director@atlantaautismconsortium.org. You are welcome to use a current poster previously presented at SFN, S4SN or IMFAR or other related scientific conferences, or prepared for upcoming fall conferences.  Please arrive early, after 3:30 pm and before 4:30 pm, to set up your poster on your assigned poster board.   Poster size requirements: 42" x 56" (typical scientifc poster size) or smaller.

Atlanta Autism Consortium, Inc. (AAC) and Emory Conte Center

Atlanta Autism Consortium, Inc. mission: to bring the spectrum of perspectives concerning autism together, in a safe and constructive environment.  The AAC aims to connect all stakeholders within the community, facilitate partnerships for concrete actions and disseminate perspectives and resources.  "Doing together what no one organization can do on its own".

Emory Conte Center mission: to study the neural mechanism by which oxytocin enhances social cognition and communication. The ultimate goal is to inform future development of novel therapeutic strategies to improve social function in condition such as autism.
