Description

Event Description and Purpose

On May 19, 2017, The DAK Companies LLC partnered with Old National Bank for Jeans Day, an ongoing ONB in-house fundraiser designed to raise money for selected charities. For the month of May 2017, The DAK Foundation Inc. was the selected charity. Established in 2016, The DAK Foundation is dedicated to the health and well-being of our rescued animal friends. We accomplish the mission of our 501(c)3 Non-profit foundation by raising money to help pet rescuers with their veterinary bills

DAK Daysis a series of traveling fundraising activities designed to open minds, open hearts and build relationships by developing collaborative partnerships hosting fundraising events to supporting The DAK Foundation. Our goal for the above described event is to showcase dog rescuers, the work they do and their fosters, provide a venue to meet and greet rescue families, small shelter owners, fosters and everyday pet parents, introduce rescue businesses and services, showcase pet products and careers in the dog rescue industry and present a fun-filled day for dog lovers and people, too. You don’t have to be a dog lover to enjoy the day we have planned!

Our Story

Dak is a little dog rescued by Arnie and Diane Goldberg from The Humane Society a few years back. The Goldberg’s, along with family friend Cissi Sherlock, committed themselves to “giving back” in honor of Dak by establishing a foundation with a mission of helping. All things DAK” is about love.
