2017 AFCs Spring San Juan Fishing Trip
Sat, Apr 1, 2017, 1:00 PM – Wed, Apr 5, 2017, 4:00 PM MDT
In 2017 AFC is planning a Spring San Juan River trip. Trip is scheduled for April 1st – April 5th.
The major difference is that it will be a little less formal. You need to make your own lodging and travel arrangements; however, you can use a note on your reservation and use AZFISHBOOK to connect with fellow members. We will do what we can to help. There will not be a banquet, but we may have a cookout at the campground depending on the weather.
Many of the members are planning to camp at Cottonwood Campground (hurry, space is limited). The big value of the campgrounds is that the $14.00 per day camping fee covers your river parking. All sites are full electric. Cottonwood Campground does not have a shower, however you can use the showers at the lake campground.
IMPORTANT NOTE!! New Mexico license starts on April 1 thru March 31, so if you purchased an annual license in October it will expire on March 31. If you decide to arrive early to take advantage of your 2015-2016 New Mexico license, make a note on the Eventbrite registration. Some may choose to arrive early or stay late.
There are several other local lodging and guiding services in the area. You may want to book a guided trip soon, as reservations fill up fast for spring fishing trips. Here is a partial list of lodging and guide services avaiable:
- Abe’s (505) 632-2194
