2017 Adventures in Croquet-land
Sat, May 13, 2017, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM PDT
What happens when Alice In Wonderland meets Impact Young Adults? Croquet happens.
“Adventures in Croquet-land” is a tournament for everyone! All skill levels will have a blast. Grab five friends (or come alone - we'll take care of that) and join us in traditional “all whites” or wear super spring "Through the Looking Glass" color explosions as we spend the afternoon playing, eating lunch, listening to music and just relaxing in beautiful Balboa Park on the War Memorial Building Lawn.
Each team of six will play three rounds – against the clock. Teams work together to get through the course in the fastest time – the winners get a trophy.
$150 per team of six/$25 per person. Don't have a team? Don't worry! We'll cobble one together for you. It's all about having fun.
Best Team Outfits Competition! Best Hat Award!
We will attempt to get food trucks on-site for you to buy lunch, or… pack a picnic! You may have an hour between rounds.
Bring blankets, beach chairs, sunbrellas, sunscreen, non-alcoholic beverages, snacks and a little spending money (cash or debit/credit cards accepted)... for our fabulous raffle prize (to be announced later.)
- Tickets are 1 for $3, 2 for $5, and 5 for $10 (best value).
Free parking at the very North end of the San Diego Zoo’s parking lot, on Zoo Dr. and on Park Blvd.
*** NO ALCOHOL AT THE EVENT - NO SMOKING IN BALBOA PARK ***
All proceeds benefit Impact Young Adults, where through creating an environment that includes friends, fun, and the opportunity for personal growth we can change the experience of facing mental health challenges for young people.
