Event Details

The newly revived Awbrey Butte Neighborhood Association (ABNA) will be holding it's first General Membership Meeting to elect Directors to serve a two year term. We will also be voting to formally adopt the draft of the ABNA Bylaws. If you only attend one ABNA meeting this year this is the one!

NOTE: Tickets are not required to attend the event, but they will make check in much faster and allow us to better plan for the number of people attending

Everyone is invited, but you must be a registered ABNA member to vote for or stand for a seat on the board.
If you live in, or operate a business in the Awbrey Butte Neighborhood Association boundaries (see map below), then you are eligible for membership.

There are no fees or dues associated with your membership, so if you are eligible and haven't registered, we encourage you to join.

New member forms will be available at the General Meeting; however, we would advise that you register early on our website so that you can become more informed about what the ABNA is all about prior to the meeting.

Please RSVP to this event so we can plan for the number of people attending. Let us know if you would like stand for election as a Director. There are many opportunities to make a difference. Visit the ABNA Website to discover where your particular area of expertise could be of value to the Association.

City Leaders and City Administration are eager to include residents in the discussions on Bend’s future and the Neighborhood Associations are the formal mechanism to do so. Together with the other 12 Neighborhood Associations, the ABNA gives residents a formal seat at the table on decisions that will directly affect the future ‘livability’ of Bend; now the 6th fastest growing city in the Country.

We are actively seeking experienced residents willing to represent their fellow neighbors in discussions with the City on how to best sustain the quality of life in Bend as it continues to grow rapidly. Typically these discussions relate to changes in land use, property development, infrastructure and City governance. The ABNA is also the primary means to present many other resident ideas and concerns to the City regarding law enforcement, noise ordinances, road congestion, COCC and OSU expansion, etc.

We are already off to a great start. The City was very impressed with the large turnout at our kickoff meeting in June and we have taken back our seat at the table. We can always use active members with ideas and enthusiasm to participate in maintaining the character of our neighborhood and our City.
