2017 75th Anniversary Battle of Midway Dining Out - Hosted by AFCEA Monterey Bay Chapter, Monterey Bay Commandery of the Naval Order of the United States, and the Monterey Peninsula Council of the Navy League.
The 75th Anniversary Battle of Midway Dining Out will be held at the Naval Postgraduate School, Herrmann Hall on the grounds of the Naval Support Activity Monterey, on Saturday 3 June. This "black-tie" dinner is open to all active and retired service members and community friends. Guests holding confirmed reservations will have gate access the evening of the dinner. Note, all guests must have valid ID's with them.
Festivities will commence on the Herrmann Hall Quarter Deck of the world famous historic five-star Monterey resort Hotel Del Monte, now the site of the Naval Postgraduate School, with a 1800 hours (6:00 pm) reception followed by dinner in the Barbara McNitt Ballroom.
The 2017 Theme is "From Midway to Monterey: Leveraging Initiative and Technology". The guest speaker is Professor Jeff E. Kline, USN (Ret.), Professor of Practice, Operations Research Department, Naval Postgraduate School Monterey.
Reservations - There are several ways to reserve your tickets. Reservations can be made electronically on this site or in person at the Naval Postgraduate School at the MWR ITT Office (831.656.3223). For tickets by mail, make your check payable to NOUS MTY BAY CDRY and mail your reservations with payment to:

Attire - Military: Dinner Dress White or service equivalent. Civilian: Black Tie or Coat/Tie.
Meal Selections - Tri-Tip Beef, Salman, or Pasta ....all with wines and toasting port. PLUS all guests will receive a special limited minted "challenge coin" marking the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Midway.
Seating - Note that guest seating will be by tables of EIGHT. If you or your party would desire to reserve a table of eight or join a table of eight, please contact "Captain Ken" at firstname.lastname@example.org or 831.657.9793.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
All Guests will be added to the Naval Support Activity Monterey gate access list. List will be submitted 72 hours before the event and all guests must have a valid federal or state issued ID. Child care will not be available the evening of the event.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Parking for the event is allowed on any of the paved parking areas. The easiest accessible parking can be found forward of Herrmann Hall, on the flagpole side of the building. Be sure to enter the base using the Sloat Street Entrance, at the corner of Sloat and Ninth
If I cannot go after paying for my reservations.
All paid reservations are confirmed as of 19 May with cancellations funds dedicated to support enlisted personel attending the dinner,
