Deborah Crusan is professor of TESOL/Applied Linguistics at Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio and will be our keynote speaker this year. Her research interests include writing assessment particularly for placement of second language writers, writing teacher education, directed self-placement and its consequences for second language writers, and the politics of assessment. You will be able to purchase multiple registration vouchers which will need to be assigned to registrants' names immediately. Please bear in mind that tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Once we have your details, you will be able to pay by credit card or by sending us a check. Registration is not complete until we receive your details AND your payment.
Once we have both your details and payment, you will be sent a confirmation email. If you do not receive it within 24 hours of submitting, please contact Karen Wislocky at K.M.Wislocky@gmail.com.
Pre-registration has been extended through October 28, 2016. After that date, those interested in attending will no longer qualify for a pre-registration rate and will have to register at the door on the day of the conference.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Attendees must be over 18 to attend. Attendees paying the student rate ($30) will be required to show ID. Attendees who fail to produce the necessary ID will be required to pay the full conference price, or be refused admission without a refund.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There is ample free parking at the conference center. Please see http://witesol.com/fall-conference for more details.
What are the recommended overnight accommodations for the event?
A block of rooms have been set aside at the Best Western Premier Waterfront Hotel and Convention Center in Oshkosh. Please contact the hotel directly at 920-230-1900 and ask for the WITESOL group block. The rooms can only be reserved through the front desk of the hotel. The rate is $82 for single occupancy and $99 for double occupancy in a standard king room or double queen bedded room. The rate does not include 5% state sales tax, 10% local occupancy tax, $3 municipal service fee or breakfast. If your school is paying, please bring a copy of your school's tax exempt certificate with you for the front desk to have on file. The group block rate is available until October 6, 2016 after which time the rates are no longer guaranteed and are subject to change based on availability. Each standard room comes with a one king size bed or two queen size beds, personal safe, coffee maker with Starbucks coffee, refrigerator, microwave, and 40" flat screen television.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
No. Once you have purchased a ticket, you may not transfer it to another person.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

There are no refunds.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
No. The name on the ticket must match the name of the attendee. Tickets may not be transferred.
