The Challenges of Dealing with Natural Resource Development Projects and Activism!
This is a Training Workshop designed for prosecutors, lawyers, regulators, law enforcement, industry and industry association representatives who must deal with natural resource development projects and protests targeting critical infrastructure. The Workshop addresses the threat environment, relevant legal provisions in the Anti-Terrorism Act and other pertinent elements of the criminal code, the prosecutorial experience in cases involving violent acts targeting critical national infrastructure, the adjudication record, and overall lessons learned. This will also include operational issues relevant to future prosecutions as well as identification of proactive measures relevant to critical infrastructure protection and prosecutions which may arise related thereto.
Speakers at the Training Workshop include subject matter experts from academia, retired experienced prosecutors, legal specialists, law enforcement and industry and industry associations officials.
