HW4L Records in partner with Soles4Souls will be hosting the 1st Annual 2016 "Sneaker Violence 5K " in order to raise awareness for sneaker violence. An estimated 1,200 people die over sneakers every year, according to a video posted Nov. 14 by GQ magazine. Soles4Souls is a not for profit global social enterprise committed to fighting poverty through the collection and distribution of shoes and clothing. We've teamed up in order to influence the youth along with stoppping the violence over material things. JustDante (Dante Holley) will be running the 5K in Yeezy Boost sneakers giving directly from their creator, Kanye West in order to show that they are just "material" objects and not worth the life of another human. Soles4Souls have promised to award HW4L Records with 100 brand-new pairs of shoes to donate to anyone in poverty if they are to collect 10,000 donations throughout the summer.
HW4L has began a "Summer Shoe Drive" with Soles4Souls collecting over 300+ donations in their first month. There will also be a huge drop off at the run in order to help us reach our goal of 10,000 donations. Soles4Souls is giving-away 100 shoes once the goal is reached to help anyone in Atlantic City, NJ living in poverty.

Special Guest speakers include:
- JustDante - HW4L’s CEO (Dante Holley) has been all over the media for guessing the title of Kanye West’s TLOP album. A reward for guessing the title was a ticket to Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 3 Fashion show and also a free pair of rare exclusive Yeezy 350 boost given from Mr. West himself. 5 months before guessing the title, Dante was involved in a house fire which consumed his childhood home. Going through such an experience made Dante want to make a difference, which is why he will be hosting the 1st annual 2016 "Sneaker Violence 5K” in partner with Soles4Souls. Holley will be hosting and running in a 5k Run/Walk, in order to raise awareness about Sneaker Violence. Holley’s goal is to raise awareness for the issue at hand in hopes of eliminating sneaker violence forever as well as poverty worldwide. He is running the 5k in the pair of Yeezy shoes to show that shoes are important, but they should not be the cause of violence. He’s running to remind people to stop violence over shoes and instead remember those who have never owned a pair.
- Tina Wislon - Mother of Jamal "Mally" Gaines, 21, of Rahway who was gunned down in Febuary during a robbery in East Coast Boutique, the sneaker store Mally co-owned. - Camille Tanoh - Camille Tanoh is a Parisian shoe designer who makes footwear for the city’s creative strivers. He began working in the fashion industry as a model when he was 17 before becoming a press assistant for Paul Smith, Balenciaga and Pierre Hardy. Now 26 and a part-time New Yorker, Camille regularly returns home to Paris where he’s developed his own line of shoes and is working on a music project. (He also continues to consult for Pierre Hardy, who has become his mentor and teacher.) Camille aspires to communicate a sense of freedom and possibility through his work, especially to the young generation he grew up with in the bridled reality of the banlieues—the outskirts of the city—where opportunity and information are scarce. As the French-born son of immigrants from Ivory Coast, Camille relishes the chance to break new ground and to help define the next era of Parisian design.
