Learn how to turn a quality problem into an opportunity, assess process and system risk and proactively react before other problems are realized. Learn the best practices to immediately address quality failures, external and internal. Define the 8D process to be followed, the method of displaying important information as a visual tool, and supporting status at a glance.Learn to utilize discipline when responding to issues through a systematic approach.
Case: Participants will conduct a root cause analysis using problem-solving tools presented and demonstrated in this session. Both internal and external field failure, customer complaints is introduced. Teams use these tools to identify, analyze and determine root cause and ultimately solve the issues. Understanding is gained through practical, hands-on exercises using common measurement gauges. Problems are introduced to demonstrate the typical formats for reporting the findings, applying solutions, corrections and improvements.
