Named, one of the top 25 coolest film festivals in the world, the Portland Film Festival (PDXFF) is the biggest and most highly attended summer movie event in the Northwest. This year, we have over 218 hours of movies, comedies, independents, documentaries, shorts, music videos and more. Plus, enjoy craft beer, specialty food, and all kinds of bands and musicians.
Limited-time, Online-Only Deals
Buy passes early and get fantastic discounts on everything from all-access passes to VIP passes that give you the run of the festival, including exclusive access to filmmakers.
There are a variety of prices and options available for attending the Portland Film Festival. Individual tickets will be sold up to 24 hours in advance of the screening. The day of the event, tickets will only be sold at the screening venue. A rush “stanby” line will be opened for every screening one hour before screen time. Even if sold out online, a select amount of tickets will be held for sale at every event.
The films, events and workshops that have been selected for the 2016 Portland Film Festival will be announced between now and the first week of August. Stay tuned for more infomation. Once you purchase a pass, you will be included on our email announcement list and will get first access to all information as it becomes available.
Pass & Ticket Pick-up
We will distribute all tickets and passes via USPS. Passes purchased within a week of the event should be picked up at a designated location. Designated locations include the Festival Headquarters and Filmmakers Lounge. These locations will be announced in the coming weeks.
Admission for all events will be on a first-come, first-served basis depending on your ticket and pass. We highly recommend arriving early to events, as capacity is restricted to the regulations of each individual venue. See your ticket or pass description for admission policies.
What does standby mean?
When a film screening is deemed "standby" it means that the allotment of advance tickets has been reached. Seats that are set aside for pass holders are released for sale 10 minutes prior to a screening. The released seats are deemed Standby Tickets and will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. Standby lines form one hour prior to a screening. Cash or vouchers only.
Sometimes, for reasons beyond our control, programs must be changed, rescheduled or cancelled. A daily update on schedule changes may be obtained online at www.portlandfilmfestival.com or you may pick up a list of changes at any of the festival theatres. Please check for updates online and in venues periodically.
The PDXFF refund policy is that ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES, except in cases of cancellation. The PDXFF reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. We enforce this policy to ensure a secure, professional, and convenient environment for all of our customers.
Merchandise is available online and will be available at the Festival Headquarters during operating hours. Merchandise will also be available at Festival Theatres during the festival.
Located in a new location every year, our Filmmaker Lounge offers “Filmmaker Pass” holders as well as VIPs free drinks, food, snacks and wifi. The lounge is open daily during the festival from 11am to 5pm. Its location will be announced in the coming weeks.
