ABOUT THE NEW YORK THEATRICAL BELLYDANCE CONFERENCE
Presented by the Theatrical Bellydance Project, headed by artistic directors Ranya Renee (New York) and Anasma (Paris), the New York Theatrical Bellydance Conference (NYTBC) is our big, biennial conference in the heart of New York City, showcasing a diverse array of talent in the art of belly dance. Three days of workshops plus a day of master classes, curated performances, presentations, and panel discussions with New York and international instructors, artists and presenters. 2016 marks our FIFTH big conference! While the conference features world-class teaching and shows, and attracts approximately 300 participants and audience members, it has a friendly small-event feeling, with limited-size classes and a chance to experience NYC's warm multicultural hospitality. Join us!

SUBMITTING TO PERFORM
Q: Do i need to sign up for the conference at the same time as I submit to perform or present?
A: No, you do not need to do that at the same time. But if you are selected to perform or present, you will need to sign up for at least 4 workshops (e.g. a daylong 4-class path or 4 a la carte workshops; for groups, at least 8 workshops must be purchased, across all group members) to be included in our program. Workshops need to be purchased by the beginning of June to guarantee your spot in the shows.
Q: How do I make a submission to perform?
A: Go to GET TICKETS, select the category you want to submit in, and add "1" to your cart. RIGHT NOW (as of mid-May) WE ONLY HAVE AVAILABILITY IN OUR FRIDAY EVENING OPENING NIGHT SHOWS. We have a waiting list for mainstage placement at Drom, if someone needs to drop out, so you can still apply for mainstage but you may be placed on Friday evening. The MMAC show is full.
Please email us at submissions@theatricalbellydance.com for details FAQs with answers to common questions about submitting to perform; we have taken these down from this page but will email them to you on request.
When you hit CHECK OUT, then you'll get taken to the order form, which is the submission form with all the special questions on it. :-) Prepare your answers IN ADVANCE and then copy-paste them into the form within the 60-minute time limit once you are ready. Keep an eye on the timer!
Q: What if I just want to come to see the shows? Or add those to my package? I didn’t see the ticket links for those.
A: Sure! You can just attend the shows. Tickets will be available for purchase from May 20 for all shows.
