Join Downtown Inc for THE event of the year: our third annual Masquerade Ball.
On Saturday, October 29, drinking, dancing and revelry comes to the Martin Library in celebration of their 100th anniversary. It’s an event not to be missed.
The Ball is nestled into All Hallows weekend, featuring walking tours, Pumpkinfest, the 67th Annual Halloween Parade and everything else York loves about Halloween.
Downtown Inc’s signature fundraising event, the Masquerade Ball features a cash-bar cocktail hour with delightful surprises, passed hors d'oeuvre and an exquisite meal, an immersive audio-visual light show and dancing into the late hours. Black tie optional; masks are not. This year, we encourage pleasure seekers to come dressed as their favorite literary characters to embrace our beautiful venue.
This spectacular gala sells out every year. Do not wait to get your tickets.
Please note: the format of this year's event has changed slightly. This year, guests will enjoy butlered hors d'oeuvre and main course & dessert stations that can be enjoyed at your leisure; there will not be a seated, served meal and, as such, no reserved seating (other than for our corporate table sponsors).

The Downtown Inc Masquerade Ball is a fundraiser for Downtown Inc, a 501(c)(3). It is through the support of our donors and downtown boosters like you that Downtown Inc is able to continue to serve the public through economic development, promotions, place making and public safety. No refunds will be given.
Downtown Inc is THE organization working to enhance and encourage investment in York’s central business district. We do that through:
- Economic Development - business recruitment and retention
- Promotions - advertising, marketing and special events like First Fridays, Sweetest Pint and Go Green in the City
- Placemaking - beautifying the landscape, improving physical elements such as traffic patterns, public spaces, cleanliness, walkability
- Public Safety – working with police and sheriffs to mitigate criminal and vagrant activity
