The Big Event is Lowell Elementary’s biggest fundraising event of the year. We are a small neighborhood school and due to the economic diversity of our student population, we are reaching out to the greater Capitol Hill and Downtown community to support us by participating in the Big Event.
Ticket prices are $45 up until March 23, the day before the auction, and $75 the day of the auction on March 24. Price includes all food and drink at the event, which has been generously donated by Ravishing Radish, Quinn's Pub, Hello Robin, Witness Bar and many others.
Theme of the event is Food and Fitness. Live auction items will include:
Rooftop dinner for 8 by Chef John Sundstrom (owner of Lark).
Four- course dinner for 8 at Café Flora.
Dinner and winery tour at 8 Bells Winery
Lego party for 8 at architect Jeff Pelletier's basement (featured on HOUZZ.com)
Dinner for 8 in your home by Jay Guerrero (of Boat Street fame)
Fire Station #25 Tour - Pizza/Dance Party.
8 Bells Winery Tour and empty magnum to fill with your favorite from the tasting.
The silent auction will include massage, chocolate cakes and pies, sporting equipment and snowboard gear.
The funds raised from the Big Event will help pay for enrichment programs for all students at Lowell – including the children who are medically fragile, have special needs and are enrolled in the District’s Vision Impaired program – these children represent almost 40% of the student population. In addition, Lowell is a Title 1 school where more than 50% of the children are eligible for free or reduced lunch. Furthermore, the students represent a diversity of cultures, ethnicities, and family make-ups.
While we have great needs at our school, we have a strong community – thanks for being part of our community!
A BIG thank you to our Event Sponsors - 1ST SECURITY BANK OF WASHINGTON, CAMBER COLLECTIVE, and QUINN'S PUB.
