Leadership Experience Series
The Leadership Series is for those individuals aspiring to a director's level or above position, and is designed to improve your competencies related to executive leadership in key areas of development. Each session will include experiential learning opportunities delivered by seasoned professional leaders who will focus on improving critical thinking, collaboration, communication, information utilization, and professional competence as the conduit to increasing your leadership competencies.
The Series consists of one 3-hour session per month for 6 months:
Session 1 Managing Vision and Purpose – Friday April 29, 2016
Session 2 Customer Focus - Friday May 20, 2016
Session 3 Building Effective Teams – Thursday June 30, 2016
Session 4 Managerial Courage – Friday August 12, 2016
Session 5 Strategic Agility – September 16, 2016
Session 6 Dealing with Ambiguity – October 21, 2016
A company/organization executive will be interviewed to share how he/she developed each leadership competency.
Executives include: Brad Coulter, President and CEO of Matrix Human Services; Jonathan Matthews, President of Quality Assured Cleaning; Joan Morehead, Former President of SHRM; Chief James Craig, Detroit Police Department, and more!
Only 25 seats are available for each session. No cost to University of Phoenix students and alumni.
