First Church Community Development Corporation and Atlanta Jazz Chorus
The First Church Community Development Corporation (FCCDC) is non-profit organization helping to provide high quality and affordable food to families in need and food insecure households. The FCCDC collaborates with others to sponsor youth music enhancement programs through the FCCDC/First Church/Atlanta Music Festival Conservatory After-school Program & Summer Music Camp. The FCCDC is also a partner with C.H.O.I.C.E.S. in their mission to educate young people struggling with childhood obesity and health related issues.
Your support of the 2016 Annual Holiday Jazz Vespers will allow the FCCDC to continue to provide quality and affordable for families in need, as well as those seeking to manage their household food budget; enhance the musical exposure and cultural experience of community youth; and expand the outreach efforts of the First Church CDC.
The Atlanta Jazz Chorus (AJC) was originally formed in October 1997 as a collaboration of First Congregational Church (UCC), and the National Black Arts Festival. The AJC is made up of individuals who share a love of jazz and wish to preserve and perform the choral works of the jazz masters.
