2016 Gospel Rescue Mission Christmas Street Banquet
Every year Gospel Rescue Mission hosts a Christmas Street Banquet for the poor and homeless in our local Tucson community because as Pastor Roy says, "No one should have to eat Christmas Dinner out of a dumpster."
The entire event lasts from 8am to 3pm. During the event, our guests (the poor and homeless) are able to meet and speak with various agencies and community resources that may provide some relief from their circumstances. We also have prayer teams available.
From 11am to 2pm, our guests enjoy a traditional holiday meal, completely free of charge to them. The food is donated by many organizations, companies, churches and individuals from all over Tucson and the surrounding area. Some of the companies and organizations even help in preparing the food. Any items that are needed, but not received as a donations are purchased with funds donated specifically for the holiday banquets. Hundreds of volunteers come together to set up for the event, serve our guests, and clean up. - This is where you come in!
As you sign up to volunteer to serve at the 2015 Gospel Rescue Mission Thanksgiving Street Banquet event, you'll see that there are several shifts to choose from:
- Set Up
