The 2016 Florida Paddlers' Rendezvous will be held 12/01 to 12/04 at the Flamingo campground in Everglades National Park. We will have a variety of guided paddles on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, suggestions for paddle trips you can do on your own, and plenty of options beyond paddling. We will be focusing many of our trips on the unique opportunities that exist in Everglades National Park including grass paddles in the largest continuous stand of sawgrass prairie in North America, mangrove paddles in the largest mangrove forest in the Western Hemisphere and bay paddles in Florida Bay. We will have bike rides, dry hikes, wet walks and slough slogs.
The registration fee is $45 per person and includes the park entrance fee (guaranteed for those who register by Thanksgiving), all paddle trips and a Friday night pig roast at the Flamingo campground (we've reserved the campground's "B" Loop for the event). Campsites with the group are $65 for three nights (Thursday, Friday and Saturday).
Click "Tickets" above to register for the event and reserve a Rendezvous campsite.
RV sites can booked on the park's website: https://www.nps.gov/ever/planyourvisit/flamcamp.htm
The Rendezvous campsite will open Thursday 12/01 at 12 noon. Paddle trips begin Friday morning. You can sign up for individual paddle trips when you register (click "tickets" above).
