One of the most important functions of the California Transportation Foundation (CTF) is to support California transportation workers injured or killed on the job. CTF sets up an account to support the worker and his or her family and matches donations to the fund dollar for dollar up to $5,000 -- for a $10,000 grant. In 2015 alone CTF donated $114,892 to the families of the fallen and injured. From a flagger in Ventura County hit by a car, a District 7 employee stabbed by a resident, to eight contractors injured on a project on SR 91 in Riverside County and many more, 2015 was, sadly, a very busy year for the CTF Fallen and Injured Workers Fund. Never has CTF needed donations more. Donations to the CTF Fallen and Injured Worker Fund are tax deductible as a charitable expense and donors will receive a tax receipt. CTF's taxpayer ID # is 68-0165257. Donations may be made online or via check at CTF 581 La Sierra Drive Sacramento CA 95864. Indicate Fallen & Injured in the memo line. For more information about CTF go to www.transportationfoundation.org.
