Cottage Home Neighborhood Association hosts its Home & Garden Twilight Tour on Saturday, May 21st 3-10pm
Cottage Home Neighborhood Association invites the public to explore their historic neighborhood located just northeast of downtown. The 2016 tour will included fourteen homes and/or gardens from throughout the neighborhood, all of various sizes and at different stages of construction/completion.
This year’s tour will take place on one evening only, with two different ticket options:
General tickets are available for $15 in advance, $20 day of the event. General tickets include access to all fourteen homes/gardens from 3-10pm, drinks and desserts will be available for purchase during the event.
Premium tickets are available for $65, tickets must be purchased by May 18th (there are only 125 Premium tickets available!). Premium tickets include access to all fourteen homes from 3-10pm, however, beginning at 5pm you get a behind-the-scenes tour showcasing the Vonnegut and Bohn designed Ruskaup Mansion and two other homes in the heart of the neighborhood. Premium tickets will also include gourmet hors d’oeuvres, dessert, beer, wine, mead, and live music from 5-10pm. Food will be prepared by Chef Rebecca Hostetter & Chef John Garnier of Duos, Micah Frank of Black Market, Abbi Merriss of Bluebeard, St. Elmo’s Steakhouse, and The Best Chocolate in Town. Drinks are sponsored by Mass Ave Wine & New Day Craft. Where else in Indy can you wine and dine with some of Indy’s best foods, drinks, music, and cutest homes?! And all at one low price of $65/person!
This year's tour features beautifully restored historic homes as well as newly constructed homes that are further proof of Cottage Home’s revitalization. Tour goers are invited to view a variety of new and old homes, selected to showcase the creativity and diverse decorating styles of our residents, as well as explore backyard gardens, our community garden and playground. Throughout the day visitors can sample fabulous homemade refreshments and enjoy artists and artisans in the Cottage Home Park.
The tour not only draws attention to the revitalization taking place in Cottage Home, but is also the urban neighborhood’s major fundraiser for the year. In the past two years, the neighborhood saw a whirlwind of activity as several new homes were built in the northwest corner of the neighborhood and many homes have taken on renovations.
