We hope you will join us at the Foundation for MetroWest's 5th annual Community Leadership Breakfast, Friday, October 21, 2016 from 7:30 - 9:30 AM at the Boston Marriott Newton. The Breakfast is one of MetroWest's key events of the year: it gives corporate decision makers and civic leaders the opportunity to hear from a major thinker in corporate philanthropy, connect with each other, and learn more about the Foundation's leadership in creating strong, vibrant MetroWest communities.
This year, we expect a great turnout to hear from keynote speaker Brian Kelley, former President and CEO of Keurig Green Mountain, who will speak to the value business leaders bring to philanthropy. Prior to joining Keurig Green Mountain, Kelley held high-level positions at Coca-Cola, SIRVA, Ford Motor Company, and General Electric Company. He currently serves on the Boards of Trustees of Save the Children and his alma mater, College of the Holy Cross.
The Event Honoree is Ken Vona, who will receive the Business Community Leader Award. Ken Vona is president of Kenneth Vona Construction, and is an award-winning builder who has created some of our areas most beautiful and discerning homes. He is a master craftsman who is able to bring to life the vision and dreams of his clients. A long-time resident of Sudbury, Ken’s spirit of volunteerism and philanthropic engagement in a wide-range of local charitable causes is an inspiration and exemplifies what it means to be a community leader. Ken served on the Board of Trustees at the Foundation for MetroWest from 2007-2016, and continues to play an important role in the Foundation’s work in the community.
The Event Chair is James Hanrahan, Foundation for MetroWest Trustee. James is Managing Partner of Bowditch & Dewey, LLP.
