Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
You should have ID on you at all times. If you have a medic alert bracelet , card, or other forms of ID, is good to have also.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Bring whatever you would normally bring for a weekend trip. Clothes, medicines, toiletries, sunglasses, sunscreen, and whatever else you deem neccessary to have. On the rides, you should bring TWR jersey that has been issued before, sun glasses and sun screen, any medicines that you may need. We will provide food, snacks, and drinks as time permits.
Can I bring my family or friends?
This events are reduced cost for honorably discharged disabled and combat injured veterans. We require this very small deposit only to ensure you will be there. For caregivers (one only and still reduced pricing (We have had people sign up and not show up. We pay for your whole weekend including food and lodging)), spouse, children, and MILITARY (active and veterans) are allways reduced pricng. If you want to bring someone else or have a room to yourself, a fee may be required to help out with the costs of hotel room and sometimes food.
Why is there costs now?
Again, disabled and combat injured are reduced price and includes food, lodging, t shirt, and entertainment for the whole weekend! Sponsors and donations are not as abundant as they have in the past. In order to make sure the veterans we serve have the best equipment, jerseys, safety equipment, accomodations, food, and support from our staff and volunteers, we spend an average of $600.00 - 1,200.00 per veteran on a typical three or four day event. We want to be able to offer as many rides and as many places as we can help our veterans with. Future rides include: Washington DC, Pennsyvania, Disney World, and more!
Can I bring a Service Animal?
Service animals are your own responsability. We cannot allow the animals running beside a rider but can be trailered IF you have one and a way to secure the animal (You should have the service animal trained for this). The Warrior Ride® cannot carry the animal in the vehicles nor will TWR keep them in the hotel rooms, per against insurance policies. If you have to bring one, please make sure you make arrangements FIRST with event organizer, Bob Racine with TWR firstname.lastname@example.org
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
email@example.com or go to http://www.thewarriorride.org
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
We ask that you do, but if you have a smartphone with it saved on it, it will be fine too. Your printed ticket will allow you for some things like checking in to event, hotel, food, or other event that we sponsor for you.
